1. General Terms

By engaging with Equinox Energy for solar panel, inverter purchases, or installation services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms apply to all customers, whether residential or commercial.

2. Products & Services

• Quality Assurance: All solar panels and inverters are sourced from certified manufacturers and come with manufacturer warranties.
• Product Specifications: Specifications provided are accurate to the best of our knowledge but may be subject to manufacturer updates.
• Installation Services: Professional installation is performed by certified technicians in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Brand Availability: Product availability is subject to change. We will notify customers of any substitutions or delays.

3. Quotations & Pricing

• All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Prices include product costs but may not include permits, structural modifications, or electrical upgrades unless specified.
• Final pricing will be confirmed in writing before work commences.
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing due to significant market fluctuations or force majeure events.

4. Payment Terms

• A deposit of 100% is required upon acceptance of quotation to secure materials and schedule installation.
• Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, cash, and approved financing options.
• Late payments may incur additional fees as outlined in your service agreement.

5. Installation Process

• Site Assessment: We conduct a thorough site survey before installation to ensure system compatibility and safety.
• Permits & Approvals: We assist with obtaining necessary permits, but final approval responsibility rests with the customer.
• Timeline: Installation timelines are estimates and may vary due to weather, permit delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Access: Customers must provide clear, safe access to installation areas during scheduled work periods.
• Completion: Installation is considered complete upon system testing, customer walkthrough, and sign-off.

6. Warranties

• Product Warranties: Solar panels typically carry 25-year performance warranties; inverters carry 5-15 year warranties as per manufacturer terms.
• Installation Warranty: We provide a 5-year workmanship warranty on all installations covering defects in installation.
• Warranty Claims: All warranty claims must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.
• Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage from natural disasters, vandalism, unauthorized modifications, or improper maintenance.

7. Customer Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate insurance coverage for your property and solar system.
• Perform regular system inspections and cleaning as recommended.
• Notify us immediately of any system malfunctions or performance issues.

• Obtain homeowner association or landlord approval where applicable.

8. Limitation of Liability

Equinox Energy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use or installation. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for products and services. We are not responsible for utility company policies, grid connection delays, or energy production estimates that may vary due to environmental factors.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

• Customers may cancel orders within 7 days of deposit for a full refund, minus any materials already ordered.
• Cancellations after installation has commenced will be subject to charges for work completed and materials used.
• Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been specially ordered or fabrication has begun.

10. Maintenance & Support

We offer optional maintenance packages to keep your system operating at peak efficiency. Post-installation support includes system monitoring assistance, troubleshooting, and technical guidance. Emergency support is available during business hours with 24-hour response for critical issues.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process customer information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your personal information is used solely for service delivery, warranty management, and communication purposes. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties except as required for installation permits or financing applications.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

Equinox Energy reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of material changes. Continued use of our services after amendments constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
